- Started in the 1920’s after world war II, a new model of what a woman should be like became popular in America
- The ideal flapper was young, expensive, and lovely. They wore short skirts, cut their hair, and wore lipstick
- Flapper style started with models and then became popular on a larger scale
- Flappers went just about fashion, it represented a revolution in morals and how women acted
- Eventually the flappers faded because nobody could afford it but it had a lasting impact on American society, now women were allowed to work with men.
